    Situated on the first floor, this room has a side view of lake Windermere, private shower room 2 steps across the hall, not shared for sole use of this room. (dressing gowns provided.) Full English breakfast: 2 rashers of bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato and 1 or 2 eggs cooked to your liking , fried , poached or scrambled. Vegetarian option: 1 or 2 hash browns, vegetarian sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato and 1 or 2 eggs cooked to your liking , fried , poached or scrambled. Gluten free option: 2 rashers of bacon, gluten sausage, mushrooms, tomato and 1 or 2 eggs cooked to your liking , fried , poached or scrambled. Vegan option: 1 or 2 has browns, vegan sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato. all of the above served with a choice of white or wholemeal toast. (gluten free available)

The Hole int' Wall

Just 40meeters for the front door of New Hall Bank is the wonderful old public house located on Lowside, Bowness, "The Hole Int' Wall" dates from around 1650.Thomas Longmire, a noted wrestler of his era, was landlord of the inn between 1852 and 1862. The New Hall Inn gained its pub licence in 1866. today of course it is a busy, friendly pub with great staff and wonderful pub food. why not call in for a pint and a ploughman's lunch, and in winter sit back and enjoy the roaring fire . then staff will make you feel right at home. no reservation required

Jacksons Bistro

Another favourite of ours, Jacksons is just wonderful. a small bistro about 5 min walk from New Hall Bank , the food is just quality, the staff are friendly and helpful, why not give it a go if you have a birthday or anniversary to celebrate in sure that Andrew or Trever will accommodate you. Villa Positano

Hidden away down a little ally on Ash Street you can easily miss it. little gem, Villa, is a typical Italian restaurant, with a touch of Positano added by Angelo and Claire, the ambiance of this place takes you right back to Italy with amazing Italian home cooked food and my husband says pizza is better then being in Italy and you don't have to travel so far. again only a small place to fills up quickly, so booking is advised. all to make a reservation: O1539 445663

Francine's

This is a little further , Windermere village , about 25 min walk up hill, or a 5 min taxi ride. but you will not be disappointed. just on the main road opposite the garage. This British / French bistro. is just a little different for the area. so if you like escargot, of something with a little garlic what not give Francine's a try. The Country Hut

Small but great, this little gem is situated just next to the Peter rabbit shop of ash street. Nancy's cocktails are just yummy , give her a go and make your own mind up or you could just sit watching people go by and enjoy a good cup of coffee, of even one of her delicious cream teas. What ever you decide, I'm sure you will enjoy. no reservation needed

Windermere Steamers

Just a short walk from New Hall Bank , you will find the steamers and ferry boats, with a selection of cruses around the lake, weather you want to take a trip to Ambleside, or just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee and take in the breath-taking scenery this area has to offer. I'm sure what ever you decide you will be blown away.

Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway.

Why not take a trip out and about, and visit the famous Ravenglass steam train , take a 40mim train ride through the Eskdale valley, may be enjoy a delicious afternoon tea on board while taking in the scenery from the surrounding area.

The Mountain Goat Tours

This is a fantastic way to take in all the sights the Lake District has to offer, the ten lake tour takes in ten major lakes in one day, with many organised trips you don't get to go off the beaten track as you do with the mountain goat. booking is advised as it fills up very quickly. if you have never visited this area before this is a must for you, (if its not raining of course) See David and he can arrange booking for you.

 Please note : Children cannot be accommodated in any room apart from the Family Room (and must be between 8 and 15 years old). Children 16 and over are classed as adult at this property. Children can only be accommodated in the Family Room accompanied by 1 or 2 adults The minimum age for check-in is 18 years . We now all have to live with Corona virus, we kindly ask you respect other guests, some people still require their space. This property does not allow any hot food in any of the rooms rooms or guest lounge. Smoking is not allowed at this property. If found to be smoking in any area of the property. You will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full rate for your stay with an additional cleaning charge for your room at local rate. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum, and respect other guests . If this is not adhered to you will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full amount of your stay. 1, We do not take last minute bookings. (Bookings made on the day of arrival) 2, Any damage to our property will have to be paid for at the local rate depending on damaged caused. 3, Make up and fake tan damage to towels , will be charged as per the cost of replacement of item. 

General policies

 Standard cancelation policy applies free cancelation up to 14 nights prior to your arrival. No payment will be taken until you arrive. However full payment will be taken if for some reason cancel or you do not show up on the day or arrival. 50%of the overall booking payment will be taken in the case of a late cancelation after the free cancelation period within the 14 days before you are due to arrive Please let us know as soon as possible should you need to cancel your booking with us.
